We are now planning to build a dam/water catchment area at a hill source about 1 kilometre away. After making an embankment of cement and sand, water can be channelled using a large pipe. This dam is to be covered with wire mesh to filter leaves and debris. Then a pressure reducing valve will have to be installed so that faucets do not get damaged. Smaller PVC pipes will be used to channel the water to the homes.

We will be involving the villagers in this project & hence save on labour charges. The estimated budget for this project is RM8,000 which should cover the materials & cost of transporting it to the settlement.
